Face-changing is a traditional form of Sichuan Opera performance originating from the Sichuan region. In Sichuan Opera performances, the actors quickly change their masks through the technique of rapid face changing to show different expressions and emotions, bringing visual shock and surprise to the audience.

This form of face-changing performance not only requires the actors to be highly skilled and agile, but also requires a wealth of performing experience and a deep cultural background. Through this traditional cultural form of face-changing, the actors are able to express a variety of emotions and inner worlds, allowing the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the plot and characters.
